On Gandhi Jayanti, HOCL School Students Participate In Fit India Plog Run to take Swachh Bharat Abhiyan forward

To celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd October, 2019, Wednesday, HOCL School joined hands with Fit India Movement launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and organized a Fit India Plog Run. HOCL Students enthusiastically joined it as a tribute to the Father of the Nation.

Plogging involves picking up plastics and other wastes from the surrounding while jogging. The activity has a two-pronged effect: Swasth and Swacchta, staying fit while keep the country clean.

More than 200 students along with 40 teachers participated in the plog run. The participants were given gloves and trash bags necessary for the run. They collected plastic scraps and other pollutants from the road.

It is high time we stepped up and said no to the toxic item and therefore HOCL School aims at spreading awareness about plastic pollution and encourages a plastic-free lifestyle.
