Mst. Aryan Patil of Class 11 Science bagged the 1st position (Gold Medal) with a record of 196cm high jump in the 32nd West Zone Junior Athletics Championship 2021 held on 24th – 26th February, 2021 at Raipur.

1. HOCL School Champions showcased an outstanding performance in the CBSE Cluster IX Athletic 2019 held at Kolhapur.

  • Mst. Viraj Patil of class 10 bagged the Gold Medal in the 800m and 1500m and qualified for the CBSE National Level Championship.
  • Mst. Shailesh Mokal of class 10 bagged the Gold Medal in 200m and 400m and qualified for the CBSE National Level Championship.
  • Mst. Shahanwaj Khan of class 8 bagged the Gold Medal in Long Jump and qualified for the CBSE National Level Championship.

Mumbai Division Volleyball Championship, Kalyan
Pillai HOCL School Under 19 yrs boys Volleyball team won Mumbai Division Volleyball Championship title today at Kalyan by beating Palghar district in a straight 3 sets and qualified for the forthcoming Maharashtra State Volley Championship to be held at Wardha from 26th to 30th Sept., 2019. South Zone National School Taekwondo Championship, Nipani (Karnataka)
HOCL School Taekwondo team won 1 Gold Medal, 1 Silver, 2 Bronze at South Zone National School Taekwondo (consist of 8 states) Championship today at Nipani (Karnataka). 2 more students are in the quarter finals and they will fight it tomorrow. The Pillai Budding Boxers shines at CBSE Nationals

Venketesh Tevar and Jhanvi Chavan both Xth Std. students of Pillai HOCL School (CBSE) won Bronze medals at CBSE National Boxing Championship held at Mahendraghad, Haryana from 18th – 21st November, 2018. Both of them lost in the semi-finals by a tie decision by judges and their performance were applaud by one and all present the venue.

On their way to the nationals they won Gold Medals at South Zone National Championship held at Banglore from 2nd – 5th November, 2018. They are the only medal winners from Mumbai – Navi Mumbai area. The Budding boxers are the trainees of Pillai Sports Academy, Rasayani, where around 40 kids are taking training under former Mumbai University Champion Boxer and now Pillai groups boxing coach Mr. Imran Khan. The entire Pillai Group of Institutions along with MES Sports Control Board congratulate the boxer and their coach for this great achievement.


Pillai HOCL School won Mumbai Div. Volleyball (U-19 yrs BPYS) title

Pillai HOCL School & Jr. College under 19 yrs boys Volleyball team won Mumbai Divisional School Volleyball Championship held at Shahad (Kalyan). The team now will compete at State Inter Zone Volleyball Championship scheduled to be held end November at Mumbai. In the final they beat a strong Mumbai city in straight 2 sets (25-20) (25-18).

Pillai student Shantanu Jadhav won Silver and Gold at CBSE Athletics

Class X student of Pillai HOCL School CBSE won the CBSE Cluster Athletics Meet Javelin Gold Medal (40.50 mtr) in Under 16 yrs category and also won Shot Put Silver with a distance of 14.06 Mtr. Shantanu will now compete at the National Meet scheduled to be held at Karnataka from 12th November, 2018.

Pillai HOCL School Athlets win at West Zone National Junior Athletics Meet at Vadodara

Pillai HOCL School (CBSE) students made the school pride by winning medals at West Zone Junior Athletics Championship held at Vadodara (Gujarat) 21st to 24th October, 2016. Salman Khan 8th Std. Boy of the school won Gold medals in Triathlon and Long Jump respectively by scoring a point of 1640 in Triathlon and a distance of 6.16 meter in ling jump. Another student Shantanu Jadhav (8th Std.) won silver medal in Shotput by a distance of 12.62 meter. Gurunath Mashilkar (12th std student) a trainee of Pillai Sports Academy, Rasayani won Gold in 200 meter by clocking a time of 22.10 sec.

Mst. Anoop Kumar of Class 10 bagged the first position (Gold Medal) in the Long Jump event covering a distance of 6.58 mtr.Mst. Virender Yadav of Class 10 bagged the first position (Gold Medal) in the 3000 mtr event with the performance of 9:22:08 sec.

HOCL School is proud of them as both the students have qualified for the upcoming West Zone National Championship which is scheduled from 1st to 15th October, 2016 at Vadodara.


Pillai HOCL (CBSE) School Volleyball Team retained the District Under 17 Boys Title 2016-17

Pillai HOCL (CBSE) School Volleyball Team retained the District School Volleyball Under 17 Years Boys Team title for the consecutive 5th year. Earlier in the week they won the Taluka title and qualified for the district. A total of 9 Taluka teams participated in the event and Pillai HOCL (CBSE) School who represent Khalapur Taluka won the district title by beating Pen in a straight three set game. The tournament was held at Alibaug on 14th September, 2016.


Pillai HOCL School (CBSE) won the District School Taekwondo Title

Pillai HOCL School (CBSE) won the overall title of Raigad District Taekwondo Championship held at Khargar on 27th August, 2016. A total 54 students participated in various categories and the school secured 12 Gold Medals, 8 Silver Medals and 11 Bronze medals in the tourney and adjudged as overall champion in the event. The team was trained by Mr. Sachin Mali the coach and sports teacher of the Pillai HOCL School.
All the Gold medal winners will participate in the forthcoming Divisional and State Championship.


Pillai HOCL (CBSE) School Boxers adjudged champions in the District School Boxing Tournament 2016-17

The Novice boxers of Pillai HOCL (CBSE) School won the prestigious School boxing title of Raigad district. The tournament was held at Kamothe on 22nd August, 2016 and a total of 16 boxers participated from the school. All the training boxers came up with medals and the tally is 8 Gold, 3 Siver and 5 Bronze Medal. All the Gold Medal winners will fight in the forthcoming Divisional and State Boxing Championship.

Noop Kumar a 9th Std. student of the school and a trainee of Pillai Sports Academy won Gold Medal in Long jump with a distance of 6.19 meter and he also begged another Gold Medal in High Jump a a height of 1.65 mtr. Pillai Sports Academy & HOCL School(CBSE) boys Won the Title Gramin Divisional Volleyball Title

Pillai sports academy & HOCL School Volleyball team which representing the Raigad district continue with its winning streak in the Divisional Gramin Volleyball Championship held at Pen on 11th October, 2015 also named as Rajiv Gadhi Krida Khel Abhiyan(RGKKA)(PAYKKA) by beating Thane-Palghar districts and qualified for State Gramin Volleyball championship to be held at Bhandara next month. Four boys from Pillai Sports academy will represent Mumbai Zone for the State Sub Junior Volleyball Championship scheduled to be held at Dhule from 15th to 18th October 2015. They were selected into the team during a selection trial held at Dadar on 11th October 2015.

Pillai Sports Academy-Rasayani Athlete’s shines in the West Zone Interstate Athletics Championship held at Ajmeer (Rajastan) from 11th to 12th October 2015.

Anoop Kumar of HOCL school (CBSE) won Gold Medal in Long Jump with a distance of 6.76 meter in under 18 year boys category.

His training partner Suraj Kumar, another student of HOCL School(CBSE) won Silver Medal in Long Jump under 14 years of age category.

Another Athlete and student of Pillai HOC College of Arts Commerce & Science-Rasayani won the Gold Medal in under 20 years 110 High Hurdle by clocking a time of 16.00 sec. All the athletes are training under coach Ajay Dusara under the guidance of the Pillai Sports Academy director Padmakshan Padmanabhan.

Pillai HOCL School spiker’s dominate Raigad District School Volleyball Championship and PAYKKA (RGKA) matches held at Rasayani from 8th to 12th September, 2015. In School district, under 17 boys team who represent Khalapur Taluka trashed a stronger side Roha Taluka (Kolad High School) in straight sets (25-23, 25-18) and qualified for representing Raigad at Divisional School volleyball tournament. Following the suit of under 17 year boys, under 19 boys team also won the title by beating the same opponent from Roha.

In under 16 boys PAYKKA boys Pillai HOCL School boys trashed Kolad High School, Roha Taluka by straight sets (25-22, 25-16).

Pillai HOCL School boxers went on a rampage in the recently held Raigad District School Boxing Championship held at Sushama Patil High School, Kamothe on 13th September, 2015. In under 14 boys the boxers from the school adjudged 02 Gold, 03 Silver and 01 Bronze Medal. In under-17 years Boys category school secured 02 Gold Medals and in the under 17 years girls secured 03 Gold Medals and 01 Bronze. In the under 19 years boys settled with 01 Gold and 02 Silver. And over all the school secured, 15 medals which is highest number of medal hunt by a school in the tourney.

In under 16 years Rajiv Gandhi Khel Krida Abhiyan District Taekwondo Championship held at Kalamboli Gram Panchayat Hall on 13th September 2015, the students from the Pillai HOCL School won 06 medals which include 02 Gold, 03 Silver and 01 Bronze Medals in various wt. categories.

State Sub-Junior Athletics Championship

Representing Raigad, Suraj Kumar and Anoop Kumar, students of Mahatma Education Society’s HOCL School, Rasayani won the Silver Medal in the under 16 and under 18 categories respectively, on 19th August, 2015 at the State Sub-Junior Athletics Championship in Pune.

Anoop Kumar, a class 9th student, cleared a distance of 6.81m, while Suraj Kumar, a class 8th student cleared 5.43m in the final leap. Both the athletes will play at the West Zone Nationals scheduled at Sriganganagar in Rajasthan from 22nd September, 2015.

Mahatma Education Society’s HOCL School, Rasayani bagged 2nd prize for their Science Project ‘Diversion of discharge water of Koyana Power Project’, in the exhibition which was organised by Ruchi Soya Ltd.’s Trust, Mahadev Sahara Trust, Sukrut Trust, on 14th and 15th August, 2015. All the schools from Khalapur Taluka participated in the exhibition. There were 25 projects exhibited from various schools. Nidhi Darade of class 10th and Nayan Kucheria of class 9th presented their project under the guidance of science teachers Mr. A. P. Zinjade and Mr. Anil Patnare.

Pillaite shine at State School Athletics

Pillai Sports Academy, Rasayani came with flying colours. Two of its students won medals at State School Athletics Championship held at Sangli from 20th to 22nd November, 2014.

Diptesh Utekar: 12th standard student of Pillai HOCL School won the 100 mtr Silver Medal and 200 mtr Gold Medal in Under 19 years boys and books his berth for National School Meet scheduled to be held at Ranchi. He also will represent the Maharashtra State School Relay team in the National School Meet.

Gurunath Mashilkar: Another 10th standard Athlete of Pillai Sports Academy won 100 Silver Medal, 200 mtr Bronze and 4 x100 mtr relay Gold in the Under 17 years category of State School Athletics. Gurunath also will represent Maharashtra in 100 mtr and 4 x 100 mtr relay in National School Athletics Meet.

Pillai HOCL School (CBSE) Boxers shine at Mumbai Divisional Championship

After their clean sweep victory at Raigad District School Boxing Championship, the teen boxers from Pillai HOCL School (CBSE) upheld their performance against the city boxers and won 8 medals (2 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze).

The boxing which is newly introduced in the school has many takers from campus. Students practiced with enthusiasm and determination allows them to beat many well-known boxers of the city.

Both Gold Medal winners Nishand Singh (Under 14 years 40-44 Kg Wt. Category) and Karan (Under 17 years 75-85 Wt. Category) and will play at School State Boxing Championship going to be held at Chandrapur from 20th to 22nd September, 2014.

Pillai Sports Academy Athletes Made History At State Jr. Athletics Meet

Athletes from Pillai Sports Academy-Rasayani was in full swing in the performance during Junior State Athletics meet held at Balewadi on 17-18 Aug 2014. With all adverse effect on their practise sessions at Rasayani due to heavy rain, the athlete put up a brave front against the formidable Army Sports Institute-Pune and the Krida Probodhani athletes from all over Maharashtra.

In the prestigious 100 meter race Diptesh Utekar (Pillai HOCL School) clocked 10.9 sec to secure gold by sending ASI athlete for silver. Diptesh also secured Silver medal in 200 meter with a timing of 22.5 as ASI athlete clocked 22.3 sec.

In (U-20) 110 meter High Hurdle Vishal Lokhare easily secured the gold with a timing of 14.9 and the silver also goes to Tausif Shaikh from the same academy with timing of 15.6.

In (U-20) 400 meter low Hurdle Tousif Shaikh won the Gold with a clocked timing of 57.8 sending his arch rival from Nagpur to clock 61.3 for silver.

In under 16 boys 200 meters race Gurunath Mashlikar from the Academy won the Gold with a timing of 23.2 sec.

In Under 16 boys Pentathlon an injured Suraj Sawar from the academy settled with silver with a score of 2533 points as ASI athlete won the gold.

All the athletes are students of Pillai HOC Educational Campus as selected for National Athletics Meet Scheduled to be held at Bilaspur in the first week of October 2014.
